WE CAN REBUILD HER

I am the Six Million Dollar Woman….by time all the bills come in, I’m sure it will be about that much!!

What a difference 2 months makes…..my left arm is fully mobile, including all fingers ;-) they still are somewhat mechanical and it doesn’t always feel like it belongs to me. I’ve been busy with PT, OT and speech therapy 3 days a week plus home work 3 times a day. I’m very motivated…keep telling myself that I can’t get stuck like this because I have too much to do!

I strongly advise anyone who may be considering having one of these to re-think….this is quite possibly the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do…And no, I had no idea this could happen….turns out lupus made me a prime candidate.

Thanks for all your prayers

Obstacles conquered:
Opening fist
Bra
Tying shoes
not walking into walls

Goals yet to be reached:
Vision totally clearing
Sounding like I did before
Facial symmetry
closing left eye independently
Strength and dexterity of left hand
Driving

Susan, You have the most amazing spirit, strength, and positive outlook! You still have your sense of humor. I have missed seeing you on the boards but I think and pray for you often. I am so excited by all that you have accomplished and I'm sure the to do list will become shorter with your cabn do attitude. I'm glad you're blogging and posting updates.

Hugs,
Carmen

I am so glad you are doing much better. I actually think it was all that Rhode Island air that did this to you. I miss you too, and if you need someone to drive with you, I'll do it I've been driving with Tim and his friends you should be a piece of cake.

So glad you're well on the road to recovery, sounds like you've done amazing things already, and your positive attitude will only help the others come quickly.

Have been thinking of you often, and miss seeing you on the boards. Glad you've updated your blog.

You're constantly on my mind and in my prayers. We all miss you and your humor on the boards. You have an amazing outlook & will. If I could swing by and check on you every week I would... just know that many of us are doing so virtually. Keep strong. Sending love....
